*** Hoedown in Graydown ***

Wimbles in the Graydown system have come under repeated attacks by mercenaries. The Wimbles having already lost two outposts have had their ships come under attack by boarders. The Wimbles are pointing a hairy finger at the GTT whilst the DEN are itching to get their paws in.

Pleasantly rotund Wolf Lord Lyceum reported the destruction of one mercenary ship, a Corsair class explorer called "Eye of the Chosen" which had earlier dropped off ground forces flying the banner of "God Hates Wimbles.” Which God and why he or she hates Wimbles has yet to be revealed. We suspect its corporation-loving Mammon.

*** Sargasso Update ***

Pahl Kantner has issued the following statement to the SSS:

"Last week, a combined armada of nearly 200 HEX & FET warships entered Sargasso System via its hidden wormhole. The armada's intention was to exact some retribution for RIPLord Dredge's year long harassment of the HEX & FET.

"Mission accomplished. The wormhole's guardian 4000hull platform was destroyed along with 2 small companion platforms. Further military details are still being withheld for security reasons.”

We have not been able to verify the FET’s claims nor received any contact from any members of the RIP which may indicate the latter is no longer a going concern.

*** Batman Appointed ***

The furry little screamers known as the Wakerians have appointed a security commissioner called Kargen T’shar. Does this mean an end to their self-professed pacifism? Were the DTR right to preemptively destroy their home planet before they could rise to destroy the bastion of human democratic civilisation? Or have they merely set in motion a chain of causes and effects that will lead to mankind’s enslavement by the little fanged monsters?

Thanks Decker. The galaxy is a safer place!

*** Mad Max Returns? ***

Dark subspace channels are reporting that The Naplian Liberation Front (NLF) have been busy causing some minor disruption to IMP Jax.

Operative Action/Jax/Credible Bomb Threat/216.50.
The operative attempts to hack various systems within the base in order to trigger a terrorist alarms in various locations. The theory is that while these are being investigated work will cease and there will be a net drop in work hours. If successful it is anticipated that the event will cost the base around 40,000 work hours (cost added on to next maintenance).
Special Mission {terrorist threat} {Very High} {Hacking}
The terrorist threat mission succeeded.

The following statement was released to the SSS:

"The NLF put the Imperial Services and their minions in the GTT on notice that attacks of all types will be made against them until such time as they cease to use Naplian Mercenaries as cannon fodder in their wars of

"An entire Naplian generation being is systematically wiped out to further the expansionist goals of the Human Empire.

"This will not go unanswered.

"Attack will come, you will not know where and you will not know when."

We couldn’t find any Imperial officers who would stop laughing to give us a comment in response.

*** Wakerian Mysteries ***

Reports coming from the system of the old Wakerian homeworld (which was destroyed by the Detinus Republic), indicate there has been a mysterious shift in the star's position and its subspace connections. Its a kinda of magic… oooh!

Wakerian scientists working on understanding this anomaly refused to rule out the rise of a new fruit pastel divinity capable of drenching the entire galaxy in blueberries. But then they are mad as bats, the lot of them.
