Don't worry, criminals have your back?!?!

(Hooshie of the Clockworks' appearance can best be described as a naplian ruffian, gang member, or scruffy pirate, but it appears he is also today's host. He does sport a nice Big Golden Classic digital watch though, but surprisingly on the inside of his wrist. Fine craftsmanship with bulky steampunk motifs, and a barn door style protective cover built right in. You know, the type with two doors and the locking bar across when closed?!?! Hand crafted! Great watch!

In what humans have termed a gruff slavic voice, he begins to speak: )

Naambta, and welcome to tonight's show.

As many of our regular viewers already know, Fin Saine media is doing an extended series on how the Felini Tyranny is helping keep the galaxy safe. They are not the only ones to do so.

GTT is rumoured to have destroyed MEK 75 of Zeta, in Garden State system of Orion Spur not long ago. Given imperial war declaration on IND, it is not surprised they did not send us a memo.

In fact, when we asked the public to submit information about their activities in this regard, only one came forward.

In this program we will highlight this faction's efforts to make the galaxy a safer place.

Who is this we are talking about?

Kulthea faction of FET.

Let us see, what do we know of FET?

Frontier Exploration & Trade (56)

Here is the first sentence of their recruiting message: Want to be part of the criminal fraternity?

Yes, don't worry, criminals have your back?!?!

The aff has its origins in the early days of the human empire and its growth is attributed to drugs and shady deals. It consists of a cartel structure in its organisation.

Nowadays, the aff can best be described as being autonomous and in the alien camp, and seems to have severed its ties with the empire for the most part. If their recruitment message is to be believed, shady deals persist.

And yes, it is precisely this organisation that is keeping the space lanes safe.

The first thing to note is that Kulthea faction operates the SoCo Corridor. It is a safe route from Solo into the Corewards Arm. The route has been extended into Orion Spur with other FET factions, and DNA Nagglath local is part of this extended route as well.

While FET can only assist ships as relations allow, Kulthea faction is quick to offer the safe route to any new ship captain coming out of the TRN program, as well as a variety of alien affs.

This is a great way to keep your shipping safe.

Aside from the SoCo Corridor, Kulthea faction is also actively hunting threats.

They have destroyed an impressive 9 PIR ships so far this year. 5 Boarders, 3 scouts, and one captured ship.

They also actively monitor Nog-Kesri system, in concert with the FEL, looking for MEK activity. Last year a number of them were spotted here and destroyed. This year, however, none have been spotted. But this is no guarantee that there are none, and monitoring continues.

(Hooshi flips back the locking bar and opens the barn style doors of his Big Golden Classic digital watch and checks the time. The camera zooms in on the timepiece and the fine detail and craftsmanship of the Big Golden Classic come into full view. This watch clearly carries its name well. The digital time display gives off a slight red glow, ideal for telling time in low light conditions. His hand deftly taps the console.)

We have been granted a short interview with Modius, the head of the Kulthean Department of Justice.

Let us see if we can establish a com link to get some clarification.

(With a swift and deft motion, Hooshi closes his watch and taps the console again. He taps some more and mutters: )
It looks like we have no video.

(A metallic voice declares: "Connection established. Go ahead." The interview begins showing Hooshi sharing half the screen with static.)
-----
Hooshi:

Thank you for taking our call, and for the information you sent over with regards to your activities in keeping the galaxy safe. I understand you are very busy, so i will jump straight into the three questions i have.

How do you, yourself, describe your efforts against these threats?

Modius:

Greetings Hooshi. Thank you for reaching out.

As long as there are still PIR attacks, the efforts are insufficient. We've been hearing of other PIR attacks and did spot one in Daggern about a week ago but it was just passing through and we didn't manage to intercept it.

Hooshi:

What ,or who, do you consider the biggest threat of all, and why?

Modius:

We don't have a 'biggest threat' at the moment. There are some minor issues happening at the moment, but nothing that we consider a major threat.

Hooshi:

Now to address the proverbial elephant in the room, why do criminals hunt criminals?

Modius:

Skyth values stability and what we can do to assist in that benefits everyone.

While the FET started off as a group of smugglers and other criminals, we have moved past that.

Each family is autonomous and chooses their own path. We just support and protect each other when needed.

Skyth is an honest businessman and values stability. Anything else is bad for business.

Hooshi:

Thank you for your clarifications and your time, and thank you for your efforts in keeping the galaxy safe. Naambta!
-----
(A metallic voice declares: "Connection terminated." The interview ends. The monitor now shows Hooshi full screen, looking directly at the camera.)

So there you have it:
Don't worry, criminals not-criminals have your back!!

Naambta!

With a history steeped in both glory and infamy time will tell how the newly reformed DEN approach inter Periphery life.
