RAGNAROK APPROACHES

End Game Lost

A short-lived period of peace followed the Dewiek Elder Nation’s historic and Saga-worthy defence against the Architect Planet Killers. A handful of the more typically encountered ARC ships were spotted picking off DEN support ships in Forlorn Hope before more than forty of them appeared back in End Game.

While the ARC “Adult” class ships, as the DEN had previously classified them, were eight times smaller than the “Planet Killers”, they were still as big as the largest ships any other species has managed to produce. Including the otherwise technologically advanced Dewiek.

Forty-four of these Plasma armed organic vessels smashed through the DEN forces left circling the orbit of Beacon, End Game. The mass of ARC weapons bombarded the DEN Shipyards at Ragnorak with their superheated ionized gas, razing the entire outpost to the ground.

The Dewiek Nation fleet is estimated to have suffered heavy losses in the assault. They also lost the experimental shipyards of Ragnorak where the legendary “Wolf Pack” upgrades were thought to have been developed and integrated.

The true reasons behind this sudden and unexpected series of attacks by the ARC are still unknown. It accompanies an increase in MEK activity in the Orion Spur and the finding of a new, previously unknown stargate system called Ancestral.

Flagritz turn on former allies

A disgruntled remnant faction of the Flagritz Republic turned on their former DEN allies. Former FLZ ships flying a DEN flag were attacked without warning in a number of systems.

Following the near-collapse of the FLZ and its integration with the HEX, a smaller faction joined the Dewiek Elder Nation. A third division within the Flagritz Republic consisting of Cliriq separatists chose neither path. Instead, they have reclaimed the flag of the Flagritz Empire and launched a pointless and legendarily stupid attack on the few species who stood with them.

The DEN have reportedly cancelled their alliance treaties with the FLZ and given their concern closer to home, withdrawn from Flagritz space entirely.

BREAKING: Forlorn Hope Under Attack

Reports are coming in of a sizable ARC fleet on an intercept course to the planet Newstart, in the Forlorn Hope system. This is the place where the DEN rebuilt after the last ARC war.

There have also been reports of strange perturbations in the Forlorn Hope star itself. Dewiek scientists recognise the energy signature as matching similar events caused by the ARC in order to annihilate the planetary systems in a TCA system when the Dewiek and ARC were allied.
